One of the biggest bicycle stores in Groningen with long opening hours. They rent bicycles as well. Doesn't seem like the staff is super motivated or knowledgeable though and I was unhappy that they offered no support whatsoever when my bicycle lock key broke, just a week after buying the lock at their store. The guys at the 'Bikes in Groningen' store in the center were super helpful though.
Never go there if you are international. They will try to rip you off.
If you get a loaner bike while your bike is getting fixed and you get a flat tire, for whatever reason, fix it yourself. They'll charge you €30 for it. Have a nice day!
!!!WARNING!!! Be careful with their bike service! Unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews before bringing my bike there. I asked if they could replace the bearings on my crossbike and index my gears properly. They said yes and gave me a slot 2 weeks later. I was happy, brought the bike. During the afternoon I get a call that the repair cost will be higher since they want to pull a new cable though the bike to make the shifting perfect. Of course I agreed and was happy it would be fixed. I collected the bike and was charged 155€. A LOT for a repair but I was happy that they fixed it. In the way home it turns out the shifting is WORSE than before so 2 days later I returned and voiced my concern. They kept it again for a weekend and called me to say that they need to replace casette and chain to actually make it shift properly. They asked for another 150€ so I declined and collected the bike because I didn’t want to pay again. I thought to bring my experience to the store managers attention when I collected the bike. He agreed after a test ride that the shifting was „70%“ there. So even the manager said it wasn’t perfect (which I expect after paying 155€) I wasn’t offered a partial refund on my initial payment (which I was legally entitled to because they didn’t deliver as promised) but was offered to fix it if I payed only the parts. But for a casette and chain (~50€ on Amazon including shipping) they wanted to charge me over 100€ again. If course I asked why the first mechanic didn’t tell me it was imperfect. And why he didn’t tell me about the wear but they don’t care. They just ask for more money... Unacceptable and a ridiculous rip off if you ask me. Over 300€ for a bike service is a joke. Please go somewhere else where there is better service for a fair price and your bike is actually better when you collect it! Mine is worse now than when I brought it and I have lost a lot of money.
